Pin-spiration: Master Bathroom
Pinterest Finds That Inspire Me
I’ve had plans to remove the massive mirror panel above our master bathroom vanity since we moved in. I even bought the circular mirrors that would replace it in preparation. Unfortunately, we moved into our home a year and a half ago, yet the giant mirror is still mounted on our wall. Needless to say, this project has been put on the back-burner for far too long. With Summer approaching I’m ready to get it done! I’ve pulled together some of the inspiration I’ve collected on Pinterest below. I’m a very visual person, so I find that this, in combination with creating a design board, helps me gather my ideas.
Did you know that I created design boards for every room in our house when we started building? It was my way of keeping the aesthetic on track as we slowly accumulate the right furniture, rugs, and decor. My mother thought I was crazy, but I swear it was the best thing I ever did! It keeps me organized and helps me remember what ideas I wanted to bring to fruition in each space. Weirdly enough, I can’t find the one for our master bathroom. I promise to start sharing those with you going forward!
Key Elements of Design:
- White on White: Tile + Countertops
- Oil Rubbed Bronze Fixtures
- Gold Accents
- Reclaimed/Aged Wood
- Eucalyptus Fragrance + Color
- Exotic Printed Rug
- Natural Light
I want to keep the space airy and light. It needs to have a modern spa-feel, but have an injection of vintage, bohemian elements like a printed rug, wood and eucalyptus. The color palette will be primarily white, with pops of color from decor and brightness from gold elements.
