When I first started seeing mules making a comeback I thought “oh no” immediately picturing the chunky, foam-heeled versions from the 90’s.  While that style is certainly valid for some of us, I prefer a more polished interpretation.  From suede to leather, heeled to flat, fur lined and embroidered: there are so many amazing mules out on the market right now!  I absolutely love this pair I recently bought from Zaful.com.  Not only do these mules look great, but they’re surprisingly comfortable.  The camel faux suede is the perfect neutral and the flat slip-on style makes them easy to wear.  Best part: they were less than $18!  That is a deal few can pass up.

The distressed boyfriend jean and tailored coat, both from asos.com, come together with the shoes to create a polished casual look.  Each item is less that $65, but feels like I spent at least double the price.  The beauty of this look for less really shines when it comes to the coat because if you live in a city like Charlotte you only get to use wool outerwear for a month or two, if that.  It kept me warm in freezing temperatures while I was in New York last week, but was light enough to carry with me as the days began to warm up.  I can easily say that I will get my pennies’ worth for this one.  Be on the lookout for more ways to wear these items and other great deals coming to the blog soon.
