Neutral tones are a comfort zone for me. I always love when other women wear vibrant, colorful looks and am constantly inspired by them (shout-out to Blair Eadie for being the queen of print and color!), but I still seem to gravitate toward black and grey. If you take a look at my closet, you’ll see a large portion is dedicated to those specific colors. All it took for me to finally break out of my shell was the right brand to spark my creativity and a little Valentine’s Day inspiration.
If you haven’t heard of ModCloth, let me introduce you: they’re a size inclusive brand that offers a range of styles for the women who like to have fun with fashion. In partnership with ModCloth and their latest collection, I styled this look for Valentine’s Day that truly ignited my colorful side. I loved creating a monochromatic pink and red palette by mixing various shades and a dash of print that all came together into one harmonious, feminine outfit. When contemplating where to photograph it I knew I wanted to go somewhere with clean design, hints of vintage inspiration, and complementary colors. Jeni’s Ice Creams on Camden Road was the perfect location! I loved the way orange, mint and white visually played off the red and pink. It also happens to be one of the sweetest spots in Charlotte for an after (or before!) dinner treat.

Needless to say ModCloth will be one of my new favorite brands to look toward for fashion that makes me feel inspired!
