Last Week Instagram Recap

This picture perfectly described the crazy heat we experienced this past week.  I was running to any air conditioning I could find!  You can read the full blog post about this top and why I love wrap tops for curvy figures here: The Beauty of Wrap Tops.

This is definitely my favorite one piece right now!  I love the stripes (so flattering) and the tie detail is so cute.  I ordered size XL.  According to the Cupshe size chart, XL is US 16-18, but I usually wear a US 12-14 and the XL fit great.  So I would either buy your usual alpha size or size up in terms of the US equivalents.

Who doesn’t love a dramatic sleeve?  This top from Express is comfortable and comes in sizes XXS-XL.  You can read more about how Express is offering extended sizes (00-18) both in-store and online in this blog post.

Hope you all had a great July 4th!  I loved wearing my navy star one-piece from Aerie.  All of their swimsuits have fit like a dream and make sure I feel confident on the beach, at the pool, or hanging out on the lake.  If you haven’t tried them I highly recommend it!  Plus, for every un-retouched photo that you post using #AerieReal they will donate money to NEDA.

Did you have a chance to check out my review of the Toyota Highlander?  We took it on our trip to Ocean Isle Beach and absolutely loved it!  It’s comfortable, stylish, and versatile.  Perfect for bloggers and families, in my opinion.  Read more about it and see all the pictures here.

On Tuesday we had dinner at Midwood Smokehouse in Birkdale Village.  The BBQ was so good!  We tried a little bit of everything: beef and pork burnt ends, pulled pork, smoked sausage, collard greens, coleslaw, pimento cheese fries (YUM), and the pecan cobbler.  Needless to say, we were very full afterward haha!  I was glad I wore these skinny jeans, which have plenty of stretch and are by far the most comfortable pair I own.  It’s also a miracle I didn’t get anything on my shirt, which is on sale for $19.99!

Draper James and Eloquii have combined forces to create a beautiful collection of plus-size clothing and accessories.  I love this wrap top and the scallop details on my denim skirt are adorable.  You can shop some more of my favorites from the #ELOQUIIxDraperJames collaboration below!

outfit details: similar tee // denim shorts

I hosted a giveaway in honor of the latest Clean Juice location in Rae Farms and wore my new favorite denim shorts!  Had a ton of questions about these after posting them in my Instagram stories, so wanted to make them easy for you to shop on the blog.  They’re very comfortable, less than $50 (currently on sale for $34.96!), and I love the flattering cut.  I’m wearing a size 14, but they come in sizes 00-20!

I work weekends as a personal shopper for House Account, which is an amazing website that allows you to shop luxury and contemporary boutiques from across the country all in one place.  So you can usually find me either 1) in my office or 2) on the sofa helping clients while watching some Netflix.  If I’m lucky, I can sit outside and work.  Unfortunately, I don’t do that often just because it’s been so hot this week!  In the Fall you can definitely find me out there.  So as I was sitting inside on Sunday staring out at the perfect Carolina-blue sky, all I could think about was being back at the beach.  Hopefully Trent and I will have some time to go again before the end of Summer.  I could use some ocean air in my life!

Hope you all had a great weekend and had plenty of fun celebrating July 4th.  Last week was so strange with the holiday falling on a Wednesday, so I’m ready to get back to the usual schedule.  Cheers to a new (and much more normal-ish) week!
