My Latest Footwear Find From DSW

It’s no secret to my close friends and family that I love shoes! It’s one of the things I value most in my closet because they’re the foundation of any outfit. Unfortunately, last year there wasn’t much of a reason to wear anything other than slippers as we stayed home to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. However, this season we have started socializing again post-vaccination and I finally have a reason to refresh my wardrobe with the latest trends from DSW!
DSW has been a go-to destination for shoes in our family for years. Even as a kid I remember doing our back-to-school shopping there! It’s no surprise that I went straight to DSW, now that I have an excuse to wear cute shoes again. There are so many great boots, sneakers and more! I’ve been eyeing these Marc Fisher boots for Fall and was so excited to find them at DSW! Lug soles are one of the biggest trends in footwear right now and I have heard nothing but positive reviews of the brand. Let me tell you: they are everything I expected and more. The soles offer the perfect amount of support wrapped up in soft leather that feels like it is already broken in. They’re versatile and can be worn with everything from dresses to trousers!
In the featured look I styled my Marc Fisher boots from DSW with a flirty floral dress. The temperatures in the South won’t cool off for quite some time (it can be 90 degrees in October) so I find that the easiest Fall transition look is a lightweight, short dress with boots. I particularly love the contrast between the soft, organic silhouette and the rugged utility shoe. I kept my other accessories simple with a fine gold chain necklace so that my footwear makes a statement!
I’m looking forward to wearing these boots around town, exploring our city and spending time with loved ones while following State guidelines. As places have opened up in Charlotte over the last several months, we’ve been able to get back to some of our favorite activities – now with Olivia in tow! Trying new restaurants, shopping, and meeting up with friends and family are all things we have missed the last year and a half. I’m cautiously optimistic that we will continue to be able to do this as long as we all do what we can to keep each other safe.
