There is nothing I love more than a great jacket, especially if it’s leather. Spring leather and suede are so important this season. This transition time means layering up and always keeping a stylish light jacket around that you can throw on at a moment’s notice. The one I’m wearing in this look is a good ol’ stand-by that I’ve had for years, but I’ve linked to a very similar one above. When looking for a lightweight leather opt for lambskin or a very thin vegan leather option. If it has a lining make sure to stay away from polyester and nylon. I don’t care how great your anti-antiperspirant is, nothing will keep you from sweating during the spring in a polyester lined jacket. It’s worth spending a little more to get something that will stay light and comfortable from day to night. Trust me on this one!
I can’t get over the movement in this dress. The fringe is a great nod to the southwest without being too literal. I pair it with booties in the Fall/Spring and easily swap those out for sandals in the summer. Linked is another great fringe dress from the RACHEL Rachel Roy collection at Macy’s. It’s a little more refined than the one i’m wearing, so you may be inclined to purely stick to a heeled strappy sandal. However, all it takes is the right accessories to completely change the look: go more western-inspired by pairing with some great turquoise jewelry, a killer pair of booties, and a suede jacket. Below is a layout of how to transform this dress with shop-able links.
P.S. Yes, I realize my skin is almost blinding it is so pale. I’ve learned to embrace it! But that doesn’t mean that sometimes I don’t contemplate signing up for regular spray tans for the safety of those around me. 🙂
