Fall Looks From Amaryllis
Fall is my favorite time of year for fashion because you have the opportunity to play with layers, create dynamic looks and of course wear all the most comfortable pieces without worrying about sweating through them. Haha! As temperatures have finally started to cool off in Charlotte (it only took until late October) I’ve been looking for ways to refresh my wardrobe with the latest trends, especially faux leather pants, zebra print and shackets. Amaryllis offers clothing for sizes XS-3X and had everything I was looking for. Below are my top picks from their Uptown Collection!
Leather, whether it’s matte, patent or suede, is everywhere you look. I recently shared a Reel featuring the Spanx faux patent leather leggings and was shocked by how comfortable they were once you wrestled them onto your body. Haha! When I saw these joggers from Amaryllis, I knew I had to give them a go and I’m glad I did. If you’re plus size, don’t be afraid to try leather looks this season! I hope both of these inspire you to do it.
Move over leopard, zebra is having a moment! This zebra sweater caught my eye because of the asymmetrical hemline and the fringe detail. At first I was a little worried it would be too much, but I was delightfully surprised! Pair back to white or black bottoms for a festive, fabulous look.
Shackets were hot last year and the momentum hasn’t slowed for this must-have cold weather staple. Whether it’s worn over a t-shirt and jeans, dressed up with a dress for date night or paired back to a matching skirt – you’ll love wearing this cozy layering piece from Amaryllis.
The paisley blouse was so cute online (and still is in person), but the fit wasn’t great. As you can see above, the smocking cuts across my chest when really it should stop right under it. The fabric is also really really sheer. Surprisingly, you can’t see my bra too bad, but it would be much easier to wear if it were a little more opaque.
I ordered the 2X in the plaid skirt and regret it. I ordered up a size thinking the fit would be snug, but if it was definitely too big. Had I gone with the 1X I think it would have been perfect! So note that items from Amaryllis fit true to size.
That’s a wrap on my latest try-on haul! If you want to see the looks in action head to my Instagram feed and watch my latest Reel featuring Amaryllis.
