Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Top 2 Layering Jackets

I know you’re all hearing a lot about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale going on right now and if you’re not a Nordstrom card holder you can’t officially shop the sale until this Friday (bummer, I know).  Since not everyone has early access, I thought I’d share some of my fitting room sessions with y’all so you can prepare yourself for the shopping spree!  What I love most about Fall clothing is creating a layered look.  It’s always important to have great lightweight pieces that you can throw on in case temperatures go south.  These are my two favorite everyday layering pieces from the sale!

I actually would buy this jacket up a size for a more dramatic over-sized look, but you can purchase it to be more fitted as well.  I’m wearing the size 12 jacket, which does fit a little big.  It all depends on the look you’re going for as to what size you need to get.  Overall, it’s a very versatile item.   You can pair it with dark wash jeans or light; light wash will give a more 90’s edge to it.  I think it’s PERFECT to throw over a casual black dress with sandals or heels for a cool night out look. It would also be great with a pair of white cut-off shorts when summer nights get chilly.

If there was any closet staple that every girl needed for Fall, it’s a leather jacket!  This one takes the cake because not only is it real leather and 40% off, but it is incredibly comfortable.  I was honestly surprised how much flexibility it had.  I didn’t feel trapped or stiff in the shoulders like some other leather jackets fit.  It’s fully lined and has a full zip closure in the front with silver hardware.  A great moto jacket can go with everything from jeans to shorts, summer floral dresses to long silk slip dresses.  This is an investment item that’s worth every single penny!
