My Favorite Blush Duo

Yesterday on Instagram stories I shared my favorite blush duo and had some amazing reactions!  As you may know, I’ve been using Beautycounter products for over 3 years and last summer I finally became a consultant.  I only wish that I had done it sooner!  After becoming a consultant I started to swap out all of my makeup for safer options, including this beautiful Flamingo/Apricot Blush Duo.  Watch the video below from my Instagram stories and continue reading to learn more about how I use it!

product details: flamingo/apricot blush duo // nourishing rosewater mist // contour + highlight brush

I was drawn to this palette because I had been a fan of the NARS blush in “orgasm” and when you mix these two colors, you get a very similar shade!  However, I liked this product even more because if I wanted a more intense, warm color to my cheeks in the Summer I could use the Flamingo side of the duo and in the Winter I could use Apricot when my skin is more fair.  It is so flexible and it’s versatility makes it my go-to shade throughout the year!

During the same IG story I also talked about how I often use Beautycounter facial mists to prep my skin prior to applying makeup and to set it afterward.  If I’m looking for oil and redness control then I use the Beautycounter+ No. 3 Balancing Facial Mist, which is the product I showed in my video.  It’s infused with activated charcoal and kaolin clay that helps calm skin, refine texture, and absorbs excess oil.  Plus, natural peppermint oil gives it a light, invigorating scent!

What I didn’t mention in my story is the other facial mist I use almost every day single day: the Beautycounter Nourishing Rosewater Mist.  The combination of organic rose water and hydrating sodium hyaluronate makes this mist feel luxurious and refreshing.  It can be used in multiple ways including as a toner (how I use it most), to set makeup, and as an instant pick-me-up throughout the day when skin feels dry or dull.  If you followed along on Instagram during my trip to New York, then you know that I pack this when I travel to refresh my skin after being on the plane or running around the city all day.  Just spritz and go!  I’m obsessed with the smell of this rosewater mist and the way it feels on my skin is amazing!

Finally, I wanted to share one of my favorite tools to apply bronzer and blush.  The Japonesque Kumadori Contour & Highlighting Brush is beautifully crafted with natural fibers that effortlessly applies powders while the delicate handle provides control and precision.  The Flamingo/Apricot Blush Duo is highly pigmented, so this brush is the perfect tool to build color.  The shape glides along cheekbones and perfectly contours.  Plus, it’s incredibly soft!  I love how luxurious the brush feels on my skin.
