tulle skirt: part II

You may recognize this tulle skirt from my post earlier this week: it is a fun little number by Badgley Mischka available on renttherunway.com that I styled for Valentine’s Day.  I know this skirt is more of an investment, so I wanted to show you that it isn’t just a one-hit wonder.   You can style this item more casually!  I paired it with another trusty ‘ole leather jacket, this time from Edun (similar one linked above), and a little striped tee.  This look could be worn to a more relaxed date night, nice brunch, or birthday festivities.  Honestly, it all depends on what your version of “casual” is and whether not a tulle skirt can qualify.  If you’re drawn to it, please don’t shy away.  I love seeing people wear what makes them happy even if it may be a bold choice for others.  Just go for it!

Have I mentioned that everyone should have at least one leather jacket in their closet?   I’ve had this one for five years and it has held up beautifully.  The best part is the knit panels on the inner section of the sleeves and down the side of the body.  It adds a whole new level of comfort!  Plus, because it is lambskin and lightly lined, it is the perfect weight for Spring and Fall.  Even winter (if you live in the south)!  Unfortunately this one is no longer in production from Edun, so I found a similar one by Vince that will not disappoint!  I’ve tried this jacket on before and it will be you’re new favorite staple!  This is definitely another investment item that will be 100% worth it.
