The BEST Leopard Cardi + Anthropologie Favorites

I’m just going to come right out and say it: it’s rare that I purchase an item priced over $100, especially a sweater. In the past, I’ve always reached for fast-fashion items that were cheap and cute in the moment, but didn’t really last longer than a year. They would fall apart, pill after just a few wears or look tired and tattered by the end of the season.

Part of the reason I never invested in my wardrobe was because I refused to invest in a body that wasn’t perfect. I hadn’t hit my goal weight, so I didn’t think I was “worthy” of nice things. What if I bought something, then it was rendered useless soon after when I dropped a few sizes? That would be a waste. Why reward a body that doesn’t deserve to be rewarded?

I’ve come a long way in my body love journey, but it’s hard for me to share this because it breaks my heart that I spent so many years of my life associating my worth with size and weight. The girl who loved fashion, who preached to others to invest in well-made items that will last forever, wouldn’t do the same for herself. In the past year or so, I decided it was time to change all of that. It’s time I take that last step in my journey by investing in myself and my wardrobe.

I’ve been slowly purchasing pieces, beginning with my now favorite jeans from Good American a last Spring, then my first fancy hat from Lack of Color, and now I’ve finally started shopping Anthropologie after they extended their size range. When I saw this leopard cardigan I knew I had to have it! It’s unique, I love the weight of the knit, and it’s so incredibly cozy. I can pair it with jeans, like I have here, or throw it on over leggings and a t-shirt. It’s already been worn multiple times each week since I purchased it!

Below are some more of my favorites that I snagged with the leopard cardi during Anthro Day. Then yesterday Anthropologie announced ANOTHER SALE: 50% off select items! So I stocked up on some more basics that I had been eyeing, too.
