spring essentials with lauren sims

Hi guys! Lauren Sims here from laurenkaysims.com. First of all I just wanted to say how excited I am to get to guest post on The Style Lo Down today! Logan is totally the style queen and I look up to her in so many ways – so it’s truly an honor to be on her blog!

I wanted to chat with ya’ll today about a few basics that I think every girl needs in her spring wardrobe. First of all, a good striped shirt will take you far. The one I’m wearing here is perfect with cutoff shorts, but could also be workplace-friendly when paired with trousers or a white skinny pant!

Let’s talk denim shorts, because no spring/summer wardrobe is complete without them. I personally love these cutoffs because they’re super comfortable, really flattering, and just adorable with any top! If you want them to have a loose/boyfriend feel to them, I recommend going up a size.

Next: sandals. I have developed a major sandal obsession recently and can’t seem to control it! A good, neutral sandal though is such a spring and summer essential. I recommend this cognac color I’m wearing here because it goes with everything, and looks great with any skin tone!

I definitely consider everything else in this look I’m sharing with you today spring essentials: from the lip color, to the tortoise sunglasses! Definitely some of my wardrobe staples.
