Peachy Keen Try-On Session

I recently went to visit my friend Karly at her boutique, Peachy Keen, located in Cary, NC. We did a really fun Spring try-on session on Instagram stories, but I wanted to share them with you here so you had a chance to shop all of my looks online. This Show Me Your Mumu cape gave me life!  I loved that it was full length because it adds extra drama.  I’m just under 5’5″ and it was perfect!  No hemming necessary.  The floral pattern on ivory ground makes it an easy “third piece” to throw on over an outfit, plus it’s lightweight so it won’t weigh you down.  I’ve paired it back to a simple tank (similar here) and some of Peachy Keen’s best selling skinny jeans by AGOLDE.

I will be the first to admit that I am skeptical of white leggings.  In the past, I’ve found them to be unflattering and show every dimple and seam.  However, I’m happy to say that Karly changed my mind after talking me into trying on this pair by Lysse!  The fit was fabulous and they hugged my curves in the best way (hey booty!).  I’m pictured wearing size L.  They weren’t sheer, which has been a problem in the past with white leggings, and included a great mesh panel detail on the bottom.

I loved everything about this look!  You all seemed to feel the same way on Instagram stories because we received so many great responses about it.  The ‘Nino’ cardigan is a beautiful shade of turquoise and a great weight for Spring.  The clutch is only available in-store, but you can always give them a call to place your order.  It has great details and the hint of golden woven throughout the front adds a fun element.  But the real MVP’s of this look are tied: the sleeveless Show Me Your Mumu blouse and the TOMS ‘Monica’ wedges.  Both of these items are essential for the season!  You will get so much wear out of both of these that they’ll pay for themselves.  Both are incredibly comfortable and versatile!  You can wear the blouse as a tunic or tied it at the waist for a high-low hem effect.  It looks great with leggings, shorts, or high-waisted jeans.  The wedges can go with everything, too.  They’re canvas with a leather ankle strap and rope-wrapped wedge that is 3.5″ high.  Plus, with every pair of shoes you purchase, TOMS will give a new pair of shoes to a child in need.

The floral print on this tunic from Show Me Your Mumu was just too pretty to resist!  I’m shown wearing a size M and have plenty of room, so keep in mind that this is very over-sized.  I’ve tucked it in at the front, but you could leave it loose for a more free-spirited look.  It can easily be worn over shorts, too, but in that case I would definitely tuck it in or tie it at the front or side in order to balance out the look.  I paired it back to my favorite black ripped jeans and the mules I was wearing that day.

The last look is what I wore into the store that day, which featured my tried-and-true denim jacket, an easy tank, and my favorite jeans.  Of course, you can’t forget these super comfortable mules from Esprit!  They were perfect for running around the store and exploring the Cary/Raleigh area.
