Floral Mesh Duster

This past weekend we celebrated our friends’ engagement by having an Italian dinner al fresco at the bride’s childhood home in north Charlotte. They have the perfect backyard for such an occasion! Long tables were set-up outside where we dined by candlelight and gathered around the fire pit with our tiramisu afterward. We also put together what has to be the largest charcuterie board I have ever seen (in person). If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my IG stories that featured it. That board was six feet long haha! Everything was delicious. The best part was we put our phones away and just enjoyed being present in each others’ company.

I posted a picture of this floral mesh duster a few weeks ago. It was part of my first order from Fashion Nova. Each time I wear it, I love it even more! It’s fun to pair with jeans and I think I’ll pair it with short black knit dresses and shorts when the weather warms up. It has been unusually cold lately.

Fashion Nova has great styles in a wide range of sizes from 0-3X. Plus, they’re at amazing price points! This floral mesh duster is a great value at less than $30, which is really incredible. I’ve paired it back to a basic black bodysuit, also from Fashion Nova, in a size L. I probably could have gone with the XL, but unfortunately their bodysuits are final sale. So if you plan on ordering one, know that they do run true to size and if you’re in between go with the larger option. It’s 60% cotton, so you can always shrink it a touch.

Of course I’m wearing my favorite high-waisted Express jeans. Every time I post them I get a ton of DM’s and comments asking about links and where to find them. Unfortunately, I’ve had these jeans for over a year now, which speaks to the quality and value you get from Express denim. They’re amazing and I absolutely love them! For a pair of jeans that cost less than $80, they have held up fabulously and still look great. I wish I had more of them in different washes and colors! While I can’t get you a link to the exact pair because they’re no longer available, there are several that are similar. Below are some of my favorite high-waisted jeans available right now from Express. Some of these may have more stretch than the ones above, but they’re still a great fit and so comfortable. Express typically fits true to size. I’m between a size 12-14 and 5’5″, so it varies for me just because it all depends on the look I’m going for and how much stretch each style has. In most of the below, I would go with a 14 short. I hate having to hem jeans and would much prefer they hit right at or above the ankle.
