One of my favorite things about Charlotte is all the hidden gems that you can find around the city. Our favorite spot is South End, which is where these photos were taken. In addition to some of the best restaurants and an amazing brewery scene, you’ll find a lot of great artwork. There are murals and sculptures scattered around this area, making it even more fun to explore! Finding those moments of creativity is the best. So when we saw this beautiful “rug” painted along Charlotte’s LYNX light rail I couldn’t resist capturing photos in my embroidered off the shoulder dress. This is one of two Magic Carpet Murals painted on the Rail Trail. If you’re new to Charlotte or visiting, the light rail is one of the easiest ways to get around South End and go to Uptown without having to worry about the hassle of finding parking. We have used it several times to go from dinner to a Hornets game. So easy and convenient! They just added another extension of the light rail that runs from Uptown to the UNC Charlotte area. I’m hoping that the next extension will be near the area we live in west of the airport because it’s growing so quickly. Fingers crossed!

This dress was made for the beach! It’s knit which means it is super comfortable and lightweight. The embroidery is a beautiful mix of blue, green, and red. While it is an unusual combination, I really liked the tropical feeling it gave my look. This dress makes me want to go on vacation! Because of the material it’s made of, it doesn’t wrinkle easily, so it is a great travel item. If you’re planning on going to the beach anytime soon, make sure this one is in your suitcase. Comparing the tassel earrings from BaubleBar to the ones I’m wearing from Target, they are a little larger. However, if you’re looking for a more budget friendly item (or a gift for bridesmaids) they’re still a fabulous value! I highly recommend perusing their selection.
