Last Week + Instagram Recap

Gosh, I feel like last week flew by!  It was as if I blinked on Monday and suddenly it was Saturday.  We have a lot going on between March and April so I’m sure this will be the case for the next couple weeks.  While most people would love the idea of the work week going by quickly, I’m actually wishing time would slow down so I can relish in all of the amazing moments occurring in our lives right now.  March started out with the family celebrating my Mom’s 60th birthday with a family fiesta that was so much fun!  Some of the siblings and the birthday girl stayed up until the wee hours of the night (i.e. 2am) just sitting around talking.  These are the moments I cherish.  I want to bottle them up and save them forever!  I had the same feeling this past weekend when we celebrated my friend Emily’s birthday.  Her actual birthday was Wednesday, but we decided to go out Saturday night with a group of friends to let loose.  The evening was perfect: sitting outside on the patio at Zeppelin under cafe lights, enjoying food, cocktails and a killer playlist with some of the best people I know. Don’t you love when we can all set aside our schedules and get together to enjoy each other’s company in an authentic way?  We weren’t worried about what we were wearing, taking the perfect food pic for Instagram or trying to be seen.  It was all about our time together.  Ah, I just love it!  Keep reading for more on the exciting events coming up and a recap of what I covered last week on the blog and Instagram.

TARGET SHOE ROUND-UP

I started off the week by putting together a shopping guide of all my favorite shoes currently available at Target.  Target has been killing it lately!  I covered everything from heels to sandals, mules and sneakers.  Definitely one you don’t want to miss!  To read more and shop all of my favorite styles, click here.

Luxe Angel Boutique just started carrying a new brand called Elan.  It’s amazing!  The top I’m wearing in the post above is so soft and flattering.  Plus, at $69 it’s a great price for the high quality item that you’re getting.  Really a great staple for Spring!  You can read more about the brand here in my blog post.  Shop the look at luxeangelboutique.com and use promo code LOLO15 for 15% off your purchase!

I have been trying to step up my game when it comes to athletic clothing.  I love these leggings and found a similar pair here from Nordstrom.  They’re a great basic!  But the show stopper was this hoodie that has a mesh inset in the front.  You can buy it online at Luxe Angel Boutique and don’t forget to use promo code LOLO15 for 15% off your purchase!  The one that I linked above is another really cute navy hoodie that gives a similar feel with a lace-up front instead of mesh.

Gosh guys, I really can’t explain how much I wish I had these shoes in more than one color!  I bought them years ago and they’re one of the most comfortable heels I own.  I found a pair that gives you a similar look with some fun tassel details.  But the main event in this picture is my jeans.  They’re the new Articles of Society “Sammy” jeans available at Luxe Angel Boutique for 15% off with my promo code LOLO15 or you can buy them here at Nordstrom.  Best part is they’re only $69!  They fit true to size and I’m wearing a 31 for reference.

I did a try on session on IG stories for my first Fashion Nova shipment.  This look was one of my favorites!  I’ve linked similar product above or you can find the exact items here: black bodysuit and floral duster.

St. Patrick’s Day is always so much fun and I took the opportunity to share one of my favorite cocktails with you: the Dublin Mule.  It’s basically a Moscow Mule, but you substitute Jameson for the vodka.  You can read all about this easy, delicious recipe in this blog post.

Yesterday I shared my #ootn for Emily’s birthday shenanigans on Instagram.  This is one of my favorite looks because it features a grey off the shoulder top that I bought last year on ASOS. The paper bag neckline is fun and flirty, plus it has great bell sleeves.  I found some similar ones and linked them in the pictures above!  My shoes are an old pair of Rachel Zoe sandals.  The heel is only 2″, so it’s perfect for a night out where lots of walking is involved…or shuffleboard, in our case.  We ended up going to Queen Park Social after dinner to play games.  So fun!  If you haven’t been I highly recommend it.

So what’s in store for us the next couple of months?  This coming weekend I fly to NYC with my sisters to celebrate the baby of the family’s bachelorette party!  Seriously cannot wait to get there.  It’s going to be a blast!  We’ll be doing all sorts of activities in my favorite city including boozy brunch, a drag show, hitting up Soho for some shopping, and much much more!  Make sure you follow along on Instagram to stay up-to-date on all the fun!  Then the next weekend we are going to Charleston to shoot/style our friends’ engagement photos.  In April I’ll be going to Raleigh to hang out with my college bestie Karly.  She’s going to share all of the best spots with me, including her journey as a young entrepreneur with her boutique Peachy Keen, so I can give you all the details in a little city guide later month.  Then we have an engagement party, taxes (yuck), and the best part: Kate’s WEDDING!!!!  My baby sister is getting hitched the first week of May and I couldn’t be more excited.  Y’all wait until you see her gown and her venue…the word gorgeous doesn’t even cover it.  It will be here before we know it!

Hope you all enjoyed this little recap.  Have a wonderful week!
