Eye On The Prize: Amazon Prime Day

Amazon Prime Day is coming up on July 16 and I’ve always found that it’s a great opportunity to get some of the best deals on home decor, Amazon basics, office supplies, groceries and more!  There are a few tactics that you can use to make this sale even easier on you and I’m giving you all the details.  Otherwise, it can be very overwhelming!  Read on for more information including the items I’m keeping an eye on for Amazon Prime Day.

Get Prepared

I know, I know it sounds like I’m preparing for battle or something, but really you do need to prepare for this sale so you can get the best deals possible!  Here’s how to do it:

1. Become a Prime member if you aren’t one already.  Not only will you be able to participate in Prime Day, but you’ll also get free 2-day, One Day, and even Same Day shipping all year on qualifying orders.  Sign Up or Start a 30-Day Free Trial Here.
2. Download the free Amazon App.  This is an easy way to preview and shop sales, plus you can even watch deals and get alerts straight to your phone when they go live!
3. Mark your calendar and make a list!  The sale starts July 16th at 3pm.  Go ahead and start making a list of items that you’ve been needing and/or wanting to buy, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet.  Some of my top items are Amazon Basics like towels, sheets, charge cords or they can include big grocery items like protein powder, snacks, or our favorite beverages.  This year I’ll also be looking at some new tools for blogging and my office space.  The options are endless!  There are deals on literally everything from food to fashion, so make that list and start seeing what’s available.

Add Items To A Shopping List

So you’ve created your list at home and know the basic items you want to purchase.  Now all you have to do is create a shopping list on your Amazon Account and add items that will be on sale for Prime Day!  Then when those items’ deals go live you’ll get a notification straight to your phone so you don’t miss a thing.  You can also click “Watch This Deal” to get notifications.  This can all be done either on the Amazon App or on the website.

How to Peep Some Deals Early

On the Amazon App, you can search “Sneak Peek” in the bar at the top and an option will come up to view select upcoming sales.  You can also turn on notifications in the app to be alerted when recommended sales go live, including items you have on your watch list.  Click Here to View Instructions.
